Over the weekend the WOBA Bantam team played their year end tournament.
Over the weekend the WOBA Bantam team played their year end tournament. On Friday night we started out strong with a 17-4 victory over Kincardine, on Saturday morning we had a different outcome loosing 9-6 to Walkerton. This lead us to a must win game in the afternoon versus Goderich anticipating a three way tie for the division. The three way tie didn't occur as Kincardine played an outstanding game and beat Walkerton so now all we had to do was beat Goderich and this would give us top seed in our pool. The boys and gal were up to the challenge and came out swinging to win 17-9. Next up on Sunday morning we played Walkerton/Teeswater in a nail biter winning by one run with the tying run on third, off to the finals we go. Goderich vs Clinton round 6 of the season for the championship and this is how you want a championship game to go. Back and forth for the first 3 1/2 innings when the rain comes putting us into almost a 2hr rain delay tied at 5. After the delay the back and forth continues each inning, with these Mustangs coming out victorious 11-10 again with the tying run standing on third base.
