Mustangs Struggles To Find Groove Against Exeter

  • Mustangs struggled to get their offense going on Thursday, getting easily dispatched by Exeter, 14-5.
  • Mustangs took an early lead in the second inning. Clinton scored two runs when Logan doubled.
  • Exeter took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Consitt tripled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs and Kramer grounded out, scoring one run.
  • Exeter scored five runs in the fifth inning. Exeter's big inning was driven by a single by Kramer, a groundout by Consitt, and an error on a ball put in play by Leenders.
  • Kints led things off on the mound for Exeter. He lasted three innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out two.
  • Logan was on the hill for the Mustangs. He surrendered one run on two hits over two innings, walking one. Cowan, Stewart, Caldwell and Meade each entered the game as relief, throwing one and one-third innings, one and one-third innings, one inning, and one inning respectively.
  • Cowan led  Clinton with two hits in two at bats.
