  • Both Clinton and Exeter had their offenses going on Thursday, but the Mustangs eventually prevailed 9-6.
  • Mustangs captured the lead in the second inning. Cowan hit a solo homer.
  • After Exeter scored one run in the top of the fifth, Mustangs answered with one of their own. Exeter scored when an error scored one run for Exeter.  Clinton then answered when Cowan grounded out, scoring one run.
  • Mustangs took the lead for good with six runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth B. Wharton singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run, Rutledge was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, T. Wharton singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, and Brand induced Pelss to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
  • Exeter scored three runs in the third inning. Exeter big bats were led by Kramer and Kerslake, who each had RBIs in the inning.
  • Meade pitched  Mustangs to victory. He went one inning, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out three and walking zero. Cowan,  Dunseith, and  Rutledge all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
  •  Brand took the loss for Exeter. He lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out three.
  • B. Wharton started the game for Mustangs. He lasted one inning, allowing one hit and one run while striking out three O'Reily started the game for Exeter. He went two and a third innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out one
  •  Mustangs socked one home run on the day.  Cowan had a dinger in the second inning.
  • Mead, T. Wharton, Hammel, Bruinsma, Cowan and B. Wharton each managed one hit to lead  Mustangs.
  •  Coolman went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Exeter in hits. Exeter stole seven bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Brand led the way with three.
